Is there an Nostr app with a similar TikTok experience? If not, why would users jump here? It doesn't give them what they're looking for.

I personally avoid TikTok because I don't like the privacy and UX. That said, if a Nostr app had endless scrolling of short videos with a good algo, that would be a landing place for TikTok users. #asknostr

Looks like an interesting concept. Is it similar to the Circles feature from Google+ years ago?

So funny you said that! It's honestly a nod (or diss) to so many failed social media designs. We talk this all through on our nostr:npub1627md0lshr7hsa9z6ud8xpln2xvrszjcqv0uu5d8cjvz4f2vscnsat3aec starting at episode 103.

nostr:npub1pmhevxtlt3478pvmdqt7dftnv6zc2mzpdc569yjm6ks4k2jhezcs53uksr brought up circles at one point when we were first figuring out blocks & neighborhoods. Maybe? I can't remember, he can chime in. I never used it.

But blocks is definitely a nod to myspaces top 5. Remember that!

Yes it is a slight nod to Google circles. But Google let you have an infinite number of circles which made them worthless.

Sorry I'm being repetitive since we're chatting on two different threads 😅

Short-form portrait orientation videos are defined as kind 34236 in NIP-71, but I don't know of any clients that focus on this content type that you can use today.
