iOS friends, it's time to jump to a more secure mobile platform (Android) and/or update your iOS devices so that attackers cannot takeover your devices 🤣

This is an iOS exploit. Android is safe.

"more secure" and "Android" 😂
True story. We need a Linux phone that works well.
If only the Librem5 wasn't such a shitshow
All Linux phones have been shit shows. They all have sub-par hardware and sub-par UX. It's a sad truth.
I know just wishing for something better then the current duopoly
Sames. To be honest, we need someone or some entity that is able to be in the red for several years here. Most new startups fail with shitty hardware and software because they're unable to compete with large companies and get premium hardware at premium prices. It's going to take several years and millions of dollars to break into a significant percentage point of market share. Maybe nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m and Block will be our savior here if Bitkey turns out to be successful, they could follow down a similar path with mobile hardware.
That would be amazing in time I think crowed funding inside the bitcoin community will be able to build the digital institutions that are required for freedom and liberty.
I know the comment is satire but is Android actually more secure than iOS?
The idea of security is the quickness to identify a vulnerability & then patch.
Question is who's going to be most efficient long term?
Open Source or Corporate Source?
I haven't paid attention to these metrics in a few years, however when I did back in the late 20-teens, Android had less CVEs than iOS.
A patch has been released for this issue for those holding out in Apple land.
However for those of you on Android already, how quick would your chosen device manufacturer and/or alternate OS if any take to implement it?
There is a reason Pixel devices are regarded highly by genuine security advocates and even more so why they are the chosen device of the just as recommended and regarded GrapheneOS.
They’re all evil. Not worth it unless you’re planning to run Graphene IMO. The telemetry is insane. CVEs are kinda a toss up between the two the last few years, and counting CVEs is not a good metric.
My takeaway is run what you like unless your threat model is elevated. Lock down your Android or iPhone if you’re moderate risk. Run Graphene if you have any need of guarantees.
Article highlighting telemetry issues. Not conclusive, more just to illustrate that both options imply a trade off we’d all rather not make.

If you’re at a high risk and concerned for your security and privacy you might as well get rid of the smartphone and use a dumb phone.
Or a more free OS in general.
How is Nostr without Zaps iOS boys? 😂⚡️
