I'd love to see a setup where all my notes and the content from everyone I follow is hosted locally on my node. All their content is synced and my node will check for updates. When I unfollow them their content is purged from my node.
This makes a follow a physical endorsement rather than just a number.
The biggest issue I have currently is searching for people I am already following. Search results are very spotty and I think discovery is critical for adoption.
Also FYI. I have a regular ticket, but would love to go to industry if possible because a buddy of mine booked industry.

I believe that Nostr is making continuous and rapid progress in terms of development and in terms of attracting communities. Simplification in anything is a success in itself. It is not easy for anyone coming from x, for example, to be able to understand Nostr at first glance.
It is difficult for people to wean themselves off centralised platforms and to undergo the necessary paradigm shift that nostr and Bitcoin are pushing. People will have to begin to think on their own, have their own conscious preferences, and to want to proactively explore them.
I am excited to see the capability to curate feeds by choosing preferred algorithms, cultivating healthy social cyber spheres, and to see people express their individuality more and not be another bore part of the homogenous blob that the 'town square' of today incentivises.
