Maybe consider using garnet. It’s a fork of amethyst with monero tips baked in. You can get monero nonkyc through haveno or swapping other cryptocurrencies.
Ok, amethyst is great, stick with that unless you want to use primal with built in wallet (it will ask for email confirmation but just create a temp email with https://temp-mail.org/ ). Regarding a zap wallet, im not sure breez integrates too easily. For receiving zaps, minibits is an ecash option that gives you an lightning lnurl address to save to your amethyst profile. For NoKYC sats, i would highly recommend robosats. If you are new to btc, don't mix your nokyc with kyc coins.
Discussion
Sounds like a decent option long-term, but at the moment, I'm just focused on ways to obtain Bitcoin without KYC or sending hundreds by mail.
Yeah the listings on haveno right now are not ideal. There’s also xmrbazaar.com if you have something to sell
FYI Garnet supports both zaps and xmr tips
If you still would rather not use Garnet, add a Monero address somewhere on your profile and Garnet users can one-click Monero tip any of your posts. You can convert them to Bitcoin down the road if you want.
Thanks for the tip, I'm not specifically loyal to Amethyst or Bitcoin itself, just trying to focus on getting this sorted for now. I might give Garnet a whirl down the road, I do like what Monero is doing.
No prob, just wanted to let you know there is free crypto tips on the table by simply adding an xmr addy to your profile, even if you don't want to use Garnet it works
Makes sense to me, I know a lot of people only use Monero so it couldn't hurt! I'll try looking into it over the next week if I have the time.
So, I couldn't figure out where to get Garnet and I don't see a field where I can paste my Monero address, but I did create a Monero wallet to use for this.
Here’s a link to the releases page for garnet: https://github.com/retrnull/garnet/releases
Make sure to download the mainnet version of the app
Not sure what client you use. But use a client like Nostrudel or Coracle to edit you profile and add an address to it
Does it work right yet? I remember in v0.2.0 it was not parsing out correctly.
Yes, v0.3.0 has been out for a few weeks already 👌
