This privacy project of mine has been very revealing, pun intended. I wanted to create an anonymous npub and see how well I could be active while not leaking any information. In the week that I had this npub, I've accidentally or foolishly leaked information 12 different times (that i know of). Most of the time I only found out much later. For example, I was running my IP Tracer on a separate device running Kali and noticed that I accessed nostr multiple times when mullvpn had force closed for some unknown reason. I could see my ip traffic quite easily. Then I noticed I had posted the same monero subaddress on 2 npubs, dumbass... I sent lightning tips non anonymously multiple times and even once from an old kyc wallet! Honestly, outside of pretending to be someone else with a different personality, sentence structure, and interests, I can't say I did much of anything successfully. Privacy is hard and obviously takes more than just a dedicated plan. Clearly, I'm not there yet. So I started out ignorant and buying kyc, eventually i learned better and started buying in small chunks on robosats. Bisq was a bit too complicated for this hobbit and I've never had issues with robosats,so i continued that way. It requires a lock up fee to get started so maybe move some of your sats you get on here to a wallet you can transact with via lightning like aqua wallet. Robosats has a sort of multisig that ensures both parties are getting what was agreed upon before the funds are allocated. I believe they recently updated and allow you to run your own robosats server. Regarding Monero, I've only yet discovered Trocador as a means of swapping lightning for monero, i havent ventured much into more direct nonkyc options but im sure they exist.

Human hair works too, but one attempt at those and you'll be so nauseous, you won't be able to look at a box of cigs without throwing up. I find myself at a fork in the road on #Nostr . Do I try and speak against the growing popularity of buying #KYC #bitcoin , or do I distance myself from the simps and mind my own business? No need, they've already started, and have automated systems to handle the majority of the inbound data. 20 years from now, they will have that information nice and organized, ready to knock on your door and force you to give account for every unreported zap. We have nostr sites created by devs on here that track how many zaps youve accumilated.
Tattoos are being used to kyc you. Paired with surveillance state tech, you'll need to do more than just hat and mask up.

Im sure fiatjaf would have tightened up his practices a bit had he known he would be targeted. Normies couldnt care less and will never consider their problems a symptom of their laxity, however, a well thought out threat model and privacy practices will do more than you suspect. Its tough though, ive had this account for less than a week and have already had 3 accidental leaks, whether that be vpn downtime, non anonymous tips through an old kyc wallet, geolocation,etc.
Another reason why we need privacy and online anonymity, because rights mean absolute orc shit. Also, didn't realize brit cops didnt have guns. Why'd he let them in? They ask for a cup o tea?
A paper wallet that is used for cold storage becomes a hot wallet as soon as you need to access the funds. Hardware device allows you to store your keys and transact without revealing your keys.
