H1-B workers are probably the most hardworking people among us. They, and the program, exist because the skills do not exist here. They pay taxes and follow the rules - they have to. This immigration mixing pot is what made America what it is. Punishing these people and imposing ridiculous fees on top of what is already an extensive and extremely expensive process is short sighted. This will further limit America’s ability to innovate, produce, and lead. As a grateful recipient of an H1-B almost 30 years ago and now proud citizen with US born kids. This is a stupid move.
