GM! Great idea!

Good morning! ☕️☀️

Cool idea! 🤙💜

We plan to grow tomatoes inside to give a kick for self-sustainability.:

1️⃣ We bought a Bokashi compost to compost the bio-waste we have at home, and turn it into something useful.

Less waste, more usefulness.

2️⃣ We bought the thing in we can put our tomatoes, and also bought the soil.

Currently the tomato plants are missing, but plan to acquire them in the next weeks.

Will be an awesome experiment.

Do you grow any vegetables at home?

#naturevibes

This is actually not just a stick walking in the living room but a stick insect, absolutely stunning nature!

One time I found one of these as a kid but it was already dead

Maybe it has just been playing stealth dead mode!

Probably I was like 8 years old when I found it never will forget it. Haven’t found one since. I’m in Canada so their pretty rare found it by the river.

Forget what I did with it hope I released it.

Such an interesting animal! It just disappears in the right environment!👀💚 is it your pet? :D

😂 no but it made it into the living room, maybe came inside along with firewood

Well we don’t have them in our area.. but that would be very cool! 👏🏼🌱😁

What a great idea! 💚💜

#naturevibes

Nice! What are you growing?🌱🌱

Tomato plants thanks for asking also thanks for the sats!! I have $3000 I’m growing equipment from when I used to grow weed but since I don’t smoke anymore I decided to start up some tomato plants. My grandpa live growing tomatoes in his backyard so I’m gonna give them to him next spring when they’re massive! 😁

Beautiful idea!😍 do you just grow these two or more?:)☀️🍅

Sorry ignore the bad grammar didn’t proof read my last reply whoops 😬

We have approx 1-4 trillion trees in the world 🌳

#naturevibes

Scientists estimate 👩‍🔬 there are between 200-400 billion stars in our galaxy 🌌 while there are an estimated 1-4 trillion trees on Earth 🌎

That means there are minimum 12 times more trees on Earth than stars in the Milky Way 🌠

Like the stars, trees live a long time and are truly important for life 🌳

However, 27,000 of them are cut down daily only to make toilet paper 🧻 This translates to about 9.8 million trees annually.

One single recycled edition of the New York Times newspaper could save 75,000 tree 🗞️🆘

Okay, here I go. I live in an area full of vegetable gardens. It's known as "Europe's orchard" because, no matter where you go in Europe, most veggies in the supermarkets come from here.

Of course, our traditional food is packed with vegetables. We love our greens.

But we have an obsession with lemon. 🍋 🍋 🍋

We LOVE lemon. We squeeze it on every meal.

You can recognise someone from my area anywhere because we always ask for a lemon with our meals at restaurants.

This is what I mean with everything: our favourite snack? Crisps with lemon juice. Fish? Lemon. Meat? Lemon. Stew? Lemon, soup? Lemon.

What do you think our traditional dessert is?

You got it! 🍋

The legend says a poor lady needed to feed her children and didn't have anything to give them. So she took some leaves from a lemon tree, battered them, and added some sugar and cinnamon.

Our Regional dessert was born.

PS. If somebody ever offers you one, don't you dare eat the leaf. It's bitter AF, that's the joke we play on outsiders 😉

Here are some pictures of the leaves I gathered last week, and the dessert finished.

#naturevibes #grownostr #nostr #growstr #plebchain

Lemons!!! 🍋 now I am really curious how the leave dessert tastes!👀🍃

I’d wish to grow my own lemons, let’s see if I can grow some in my climate region this summer! ☀️

Thank you so much for sharing this!😍

I'll write the recipe one day. It's very tasty. You can feel a strong lemon flavor, but the leaf tastes horrible if you bite it

Please share it here!🙏🏼🌞 leafs still bitter in the meal?👀🍋

No. Only if you bite them. I promise I'll share it and tag you ☺️

Wow. I would love to live there for the farm vegetables. Sounds like a very healthy place to reside in. Thank you for sharing

It could be a very healthy place, but unfortunately many farmers still use chemicals and fertilizers.

Hope they'll join the green Revolution soon 🤘

🫱🏻‍🫲🏼💚🙌🏼

Papaviejo? Nunca he pruebado pero tengo un amigo de alli que me ha contado sobre el postre. He visto los invernaderos en google!!! Una pasada.

Thank you! 💜

A single litre of cooking oil is enough to pollute 1 million litres of water, making it one of the most contaminating and environment wrecking recyclable materials. And it's a waste produced by almost every household in the world.

Making soap out of your used cooking oil is extremely simple and will also save you money on soap. You only need water, used oil and caustic soda to make it.

You can't access high grade caustic soda in your country? No problem, you can substitute it with ashes from your bbq, and you'll get potassium soap, which you can use not only to clean stuff (and yourself), but also to fight aphids and other garden plagues.

Here's how two million litres of water saved look like:

#naturevives #zerowaste

Wow,, this is definitely new to me! Thank you so much for sharing!!🙏🏼💚

How do you collect all the oil? 🛢️🌱

I have several glass jars I use to keep different oils that can still be reused, protected from light tho. Once they are not good for cooking anymore, I have a big canister under the sink that I use to store it until its full. When it fills up, I make the next batch of soap.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I want to try it out!🌱💚

this is one of the rubber plantations with young plants before harvesting.. generating foreign exchange for the country.. hopefully the rubber industry can support the development of bitcoin in the future

That’s interesting! How long does the rubber plant grows until harvest? & which country?🌳🌍

Yeah that would be great…🙏🏼⚡️🧡

Rubber plants can be harvested after they are 5 years old.. Indonesia is one of the largest countries as a world rubber producer...🙏

Good to know, thanks!☺️🌱

Youre welcome

I spent a lot of time outside as a child!🍃✨

Yesss nice memories

These are my favorite seasonal wild flowers. They appear this time of year and then die out in dryer weather.

I'm experimenting to see if I can keep some alive in planters.🙏😁💜😆

Haha!:D Good luck with them! Experimenting is learning🙏🏼😊 keep us updated! 🌱💜💚 whats the name of the wildflower?🌼

when cilantro goes to flower the seeds are actually coriander, save it and grind it up and add to your spice cabinet or plant again next year #naturevibes #grownostr #gardening

A good way to use the seed’s! Need them in my garden too!👏🏼🌱💚

Ahw lol so cool

First, two photos of a stick of lemongrass that I stuck in jar of water 14 days ago. The roots took about a week to appear and now it's pretty much ready for potting up. Last photo is of a Banyan Tree, Ficus Microcarpa showing some great buttress root and also can see the aerial roots which hang down from branches and which eventually if they find the soil will harden into solid "trunks" which enable the tree, if left untampered with, to spread and grow to cover a huge area. We took the picture of the Banyan because of the impression that there is a figure sitting amongst the roots. Can you see it?

I wish you much success with your lemon grass!🌱 The roots look healthy!😍

I think I can see the person 👤🌳 :)

That person looks like a ghost to me.

Beautiful & Stunning!!✨ Where is it?😍🏞️

Oh I read it over :D Austria, sounds like a weekend trip!⛰️🏞️✨💚

Yep, six lakes hike, pretty nice

Here you can see 3 different types of seed that are really lookalikes 🤔

From the left to the right : Green Anice, Cumin and Fenel.

🤯 I was surprised when I discovered similitudes in shapes and collrs, then I made some researches ...

ℹ️They come from the Apiacea family, alongside :

- celery

- carrots

- cilantro

- parsley

- aneth

+ Caraway, chervil, parsnip... and so much more

Found it so funny and incredible that all these different flavors and savors come from the same exact family, so the same exact ancestor!

🌿Nature is beautiful, especially when you can eat it 🤌

Turned my back yard into a beautiful lawn this past year. Had to learn about soil nutrients, how weeds work, seasonal aspects to outdoor pests, temperature averages and monitor rainfall. Learned a whole bunch and gained a lot of self esteem with a new skill! Dunno if anyone is interested but I’d be into #lawnstr haha

#lawnstr should be a thing! :D🌱

There are also so many different types of lawn, I just found out about clover ☘️ lawn! #naturevibes ✨🙌🏼

Love this!

Cannabis Tricomes.

Looks surreal.🌌✨💚

Half done which I visited in 2018 was first submitted in 1875 by George G Anderson. He did it in bare feet!

*summited

Where is it? ⛰️George had to have feet made of stones! 🪨🦶😂

This pic is a small piece of woodland near my office in Cornwall England.

It’s a great escape from the computer when I need to bunk off. 😄

Spring is definitely in the air! 💚🪴🏄‍♀️🙏

Beautiful place 🌳

Thanks for this great initiative. I do enjoy this thread. Keep going 🧡

Here's a nature fact - bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Don't get it in your yard or move in next to someone who has it! It grows 3ft in a _DAY_. Moved in to a new house + found that our neighbor had planted bamboo a couple of years ago. Two months out of the year it would sprout random places in our well kept yard. It goes through concrete, it's extremely herbicide resistant and a bitch to pull out of the ground by hand. It has rhizomes that can independently grow if left behind. Had to dig a three foot deep trench between us and the neighbor and put in a rhizome shield at an angle then bury it. Took over a year to track down all the bits growing on our side of the fence. Yikes!!!

My good value post is stay faaaaar away from that stuff! 🤣

So many great notes here. I love gardening and home planting. Will follow you all in this thread to see your progress.
