Okay, here I go. I live in an area full of vegetable gardens. It's known as "Europe's orchard" because, no matter where you go in Europe, most veggies in the supermarkets come from here.
Of course, our traditional food is packed with vegetables. We love our greens.
But we have an obsession with lemon. 🍋 🍋 🍋
We LOVE lemon. We squeeze it on every meal.
You can recognise someone from my area anywhere because we always ask for a lemon with our meals at restaurants.
This is what I mean with everything: our favourite snack? Crisps with lemon juice. Fish? Lemon. Meat? Lemon. Stew? Lemon, soup? Lemon.
What do you think our traditional dessert is?
You got it! 🍋
The legend says a poor lady needed to feed her children and didn't have anything to give them. So she took some leaves from a lemon tree, battered them, and added some sugar and cinnamon.
Our Regional dessert was born.
PS. If somebody ever offers you one, don't you dare eat the leaf. It's bitter AF, that's the joke we play on outsiders 😉
Here are some pictures of the leaves I gathered last week, and the dessert finished.

Lemons!!! 🍋 now I am really curious how the leave dessert tastes!👀🍃
I’d wish to grow my own lemons, let’s see if I can grow some in my climate region this summer! ☀️
Thank you so much for sharing this!😍
I'll write the recipe one day. It's very tasty. You can feel a strong lemon flavor, but the leaf tastes horrible if you bite it
Please share it here!🙏🏼🌞 leafs still bitter in the meal?👀🍋
No. Only if you bite them. I promise I'll share it and tag you ☺️

Wow. I would love to live there for the farm vegetables. Sounds like a very healthy place to reside in. Thank you for sharing
It could be a very healthy place, but unfortunately many farmers still use chemicals and fertilizers.
Hope they'll join the green Revolution soon 🤘
