Now with WoT, we can load only the number of followers that truly participate on Nostr.

No. Because WoT is based on my graph (each users graph). I, or my follows, have to interact with them first. But even so, the score will be low.

I wonder if the lack of an accurate follower count has been part of Nostr's adoption problem? Some people are really into follower counts, especially probably influencers and celebs who would have big follower counts.
I guess it's complicated. On nostr there will never be a "followers count".
It's whatever the equation each user wants. They can just pick a provider that is more open or more restrictive on who to include.

Rather than an arbitrary minimum to be counted, how about in the grey area where it could be a real user with the follow, count it as a fractional follow. This might require some statistics counted with manual classification, but you could develop a weight curve where each follower is counted as the probability that someone of their WoT score is a real person.
That could work, and it is the beauty of this approach. Anyone can pick any algorithm they want. :)

Not yet. We need a local DB to keep track of when people follow and unfollow you :(

oh I can't wait for this feature. I like knowing who started following me because most times I look at their profile and of they have a good profile, I follow them back.
Would be good too if they receive a notification when I unfollow them because sometimes I want them to know I am mad at them.

Follower number is not the issue really, it is essential though to see who is following so you can follow back and interact. Thx for your effort π
