The incentives don't make any sense here.
I actually think this makes more sense in totalitarian countries that rely on the peasant class.
The sheer manpower needed to go and arrest people for holding money makes no sense.
I don't think this is feasible whatsoever in the US.

They're trying to revoke green card status to someone who broke the law.
The law that was broken:
trespassing on private property.
leading a cult of terrorist worshippers to trespass on private property.
after holding the university hostage, when they didn't call the police right away - they negotiated to strong arm the entity into succumbing to their demands meanwhile trespassing...I think this constitutes black mail.
Also they haven't successfully deported this clown yet. He might get to stay unfortunately.

I wouldn’t call them cult terrorist worshipers. All Palestinians in Gaza are not terrorists. I wasn’t aware of trespassing though. And trumps comments certainly imply that the issue was his speech.
They literally were chanting from the river to the sea,
Wearing Hamas garb - and saying they're freedom fighters.
Trump can imply whatever he wants to piss off the left.
The truth of the matter this guy led these "negotiations".
And anyone protesting there in Columbia was trespassing.
That's why eventually they called the police and pressed charges.
Columbia is suspending & revoking degrees over this fiasco as well.
