Look at you, fitting right in. You're weird like us. π
Good morning!
You think I fit in with the #nostr crew? I'm so flattered! π Still massively out of my comfort zone but you're right. If preparing #nostr to corporate social media makes me weird then I'm a bona fida weirdo! π Happy saturday Beave! π«Ά
I'm not an aussie/kiwi, so it's still Friday night for me. π
Yes. I do think you fit in. You are engaged in the GM protocol. You've already figured out the correct hashtags. You're slightly off kilter but enjoying yourself.
Yup. One of us. π
Slightly off kilter? π is that a nice way of saying I'm a wee bit mad? π I'll take that as a compliment π
No, just not exactly comfortable. In a place where you are aware of things because you are not comfortable. Not mad at all. Unless you want to be. π
You already have the cheat codes based off your introduction so youβre good. π€£
I've been ignoring relays, except for adding a few, and apparently "have too many", but my Nostr experience doesn't seem to be negatively impacted. π€·π»ββοΈ
Can I ask how you find relays? And how you decide which ones to add? Reading the info on the relay section just scrambles my brain!
Take a look at the relays people that you follow use. If you like their notes then you want to be on the same relays with them. Then if you see that you are always having connection issues with one of the relays on your list then delete it. Rotate around
The ones I've added are from notes where people post things like "Check out this relay I've set up. Let me know if there are any issues."
Most of the 50 relays I have now were added by clients, as I have played with a lot of them.
I also added some when a client wiped my profile clean. I looked through a backup file I had downloaded before, and just started adding anything that started with WSS, and looked familiar.
My personal philosophy is that the user shouldn't have to mess with relays much. The basics of adding/removing should be simple. The more advanced stuff should be tucked away.
Amethyst makes relays ultra confusing. That's why I basically ignore relays. Feel free to look at the relays I use if you think you need to add more. You can login to Nostr using my npub to see what my feed is like, what relays I have, etc.
