Lol no. The Greens have consistently polled 8-15% every election for the last 30 years - it’s basically the youth vote of kids who have grown up in a rich country with no threats around us who think the government can fix everything.
Guarantee you none of their voters have studied history at all, they’d have no idea how price caps have gone historically and even less clue how bad an idea giving government power over interests rates via the Treasurer is.
Their behind the scenes party people are Commies, their voter-base are impressionable children. They worked out they can be a wedge in the two party system of Aus and drag the Overton window left.
However there’s real world consequences if they get this stuff through. People might start taking this stuff seriously:
inflation must be high in $1T+ economy then ops
Every step towards central planning is a step towards communism.
Communism is self destructive.
I love the focus on who gets to centrally determine the correct interest rate.

I’ve looked at the bios of those in charge and met a few of them; they are unimpressive people with no experience in the real world.
It’s all ideology now. This country is headed for some dark times between the climate cultism and things like this, and the Voice referendum which they’re manufacturing consent for.
The silver lining is they don’t seem to understand #Bitcoin due to the shallowness of the talent pool, allowing full BTC in SMSF.

If communism (the ultimate zenith of socialism) had ever actually been attained historically… I’d say this was a bad commie idea.
However socialism has failed everywhere it’s been attempted - inc China - and Communism has never been attained.
What we think of as communism in China & Russia etc is actually Fascism.
That’s what’s actually being rolled-out globally…
Yes agree it’s fascism. Fascocommunism I guess you can call it as they’re using Maoist tactics to influence culture and society and WEF fascism for government and business policy.
