As some of you may be aware, I've been vibe-counting the nostr daily active users for quite a while now. And it's well known that nostr has had a total of 24 daily active users for several years, for the most part this has remained constant with a few dips here and there. However it is with great sadness that I have now been forced to revise the daily active user number down quite drastically to 21. Some said this was inevitable, 21 being quite a magical number in nostr-bitcointwitter2 lore. Here we are, we can all fit quite comfortably in a pub toilet.

I found it was more like too many relays. Also I noticed nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 has been doing better in the last 6-8 mo

It's probably easier on the relays to have 21 daily active users instead of 24.

Weird. Maybe depends on which client you use. It shows up as 'deleted account' not 'david'. Can't find it on Amethyst

Being easily divisible by a dozen was a key feature. If we drop to 20 Nostr will have to switch to metric. Americans rekt.
