What is your go-to NYE dinner dish?
We will be making venison chili to bring in the new year. To me this signifies a bountiful harvest for this year and many years to come.

Not venison, but making a chili with100% homegrown ingredients. Pork, dried beans, chili peppers, tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, herbs etc all from the farm.

My family tradition growing up was fondue on NYE, Hoppin’ John on NYD. I don’t have my own fondue pot yet, and tomorrow has a lot of busy plans, so I made the Hoppin’ John today and will have some leftovers tomorrow.
One of the funny coincidences between my and my husband’s fsmily is that his family had a NYE fondue tradition as well. We should really get our own fondue pot for next year…
I’m not sure I’ve heard of Hoppin John. The fondue tradition sounds like an awesome one that y’all should definitely keep alive. Happy NY!
