If I tell you that your private key is a random number from a massive pool, you'll always wonder if there is a chance of picking the same number as someone else, but somehow, although not true, if I say you pick a number at random from infinity, I don't think you'll get that same question.

What do you think? Should we start saying "Picking a private key is like picking a random number from infinity" and leave it there?

Although technically incorrect it practically makes a lot of sense.

When we ask someone to pick really large number they might be thinking in billions or trillions but it is practically impossible to think about 2^256 numbers. We don’t have names for such large numbers
