we build & wait. sadly there’s nothing we can do but hope people wake up and decide to free themselves of the chains of meta&twitter.
other than guerilla marketing tactics that have been attempted by nostr:npub1njst6azswskk5gp3ns8r6nr8nj0qg65acu8gaa2u9yz7yszjxs9s6k7fqx without much fruition, there’s not much we can do. i think advertising is a crucial element that has been underutilized on here. i also believe despite the lack of wanting the celebrities that the general public follow around, they would do a big service by just joining. people like beyoncé, or kendrick lamar, are able to bring the “stans” here. stan twitter is a crucial element to why twitter so is popular despite people not knowing what it is.
@jack being your friends, we brought ours…

I'm very serious.
There aren't really any nostr clients to point people to that would have forum functions tho 🤔

Exactly! It makes no sense that we don't have any
I'm surprised I haven't seen a bigger 2A advocate group move in yet. It seems like good fit.
Great point. Who do you think would be a good community champion for #gunstr ?
I follow so few people consistently that I couldn't say. nostr:nprofile1qqsdgvut0sesvjgulh65j9x3554cp2t9dp0hxcf3r6h9704078fr5kcprpmhxue69uhkummnv3exjan99eshqup0wfjkcctemgrnlp might know better than I would? The topic just seems like such low hanging fruit since so many of their videos & posts get taken down, demonetized, or whatever.
I think the bigger adaption of nontechnical people is hard for the noncustodial way nostr works. But still I think there are enough privacy focused perple that could hop in and get more politics and other topics going.
I think there's a big part of this that's "be the change you want to see"... Start posting about non-bitcoin stuff, and engage in discussions like that.
I'm new here, only been on this a few weeks. I'm not a "bitcoin hacker" but tech-comfortable enough to get myself set up with this. Things like this always move in phases. You start with hackers, then you get more generic nerds, then you start getting hipsters, then the general population.

I’m thinking of the folk who are at this worldview yet. HMW ease them into the transition you described
