Peaches ripened while I'm fasting because of course they did. Not bad for the first summer the tree was in the ground, about this many still on the tree.

Nice wotk

Wow! That’s remarkable [in my humble and limited experience]. A friend toiled with thieving squirrels for years. They struck like the tax man every season to strip his fruit. I’m not sure he ever enjoyed one of his own peaches. He may have gotten some Brunswick Stew out of it. 🫣

We were able to bag the tree to save the fruit. About a week before they ripened big mesh bag that covers the entire tree. No thieves and not pecked full of holes.

Nice work! Congratulations on your harvest. Hopefully you get to enjoy a tasty morsel after your fast.

My basil plants were overflowing and I’m halfway through a 100 hour fast. Couldn’t let them go to seed so I get to watch the girls eat one of my favorite meals. I’ll at least be able to store a couple ounces to put on a steak this weekend.

Sliced, pitted and into the freezer. I'm still going to be the one to eat them just not today. Prep was oh so much fun while fasting.

cheating doesn’t count if it’s a peach 🍑 😅

I've meal prepped bacon at 72 hours, slicing peaches at 24 hours is survivable. I just wanted to whine.

😆 damn bacon at 72 hours in would be brutal!

Yeah, the mind starts to pay tricks on you. "How many calories could there really be in a finger lick" and the most tricky "sure it breaks the fast but it is still ketosis right?"

I had to remind myself I was also benefiting by practicing willpower.
