Uhm, idk. I think it's legitimate for a sculpteur to think "I'm going to sculpt something so great their jaws will drop".

fair enough.. i think the master sculpts primarily to make something for themselves, and this turns out to be the best way to make something for others. but it's not the purpose. the thing that matters most is that it resonates for you and you make the thing as great as it can be, from your pov.
