I didn't really understand why I have a higher opinion of men, in general, than most women, until I realized that I just have unusually good taste, so I tend to end up interacting with the best men.

Like, I can tell the difference between "acts masculine" or "appears masculine" and "is masculine".

That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me 😢

This is just complete random garbage from my brain.

It's hard to explain. It's like there's this masculine essence that isn't directly related to what men immediately look like or say. It's like... you sort of soak it up, when they're around, and it calms you down.

It's a whole vibe.

Lol we all need to take out the garbage

Thoughts while watching my husband paint the ceiling.

So, when you mentioned that you've been busy with helping to paint your new house, that's what you really meant?

I think the inability to differentiate this -- or a lack of appreciation for it, when they encounter it -- is why some women struggle to find a man.

Lack of appreciation for what matters most is a good description. Most men and women think they want one thing, but when/if they get, they aren't satisfied because it isn't what they really want. Most of the time it is what society, friends, or family tell them they should want.

Younger women, especially the immature ones, seem to focus on proxies of what they're looking for; second-order signals. Yes, things that others point out to them, as desireable, because they're easy to recognize and therefore to market. And they're things you can add to a checklist, rather than more complex traits, that only become evident over time and with discernment.

Superficial evidence of deeper characteristics that don't exist.

You clearly matured mentally much faster than most women. That's really all that means, imo.

Yeah. Grew up, fast. Always been old, seems like.

Did you remember to have fun along the way?

Lol, can I take this test at home

Hmm I’m wondering, do you add these notes to user profiles? It would be great to see a resource for rating Nostr user masculinity.

I always think it's really obvious, from my behavior, but maybe I'm less transparent, than I thought. That's a relief.

That's usually a symptom of the eyes of the beholder.

Disingenuous shrowded people tend to project themselves onto whom they're observing.

I think the feeling of "transparency" can be subjective. Everyone is different. Different motivations. SURE, some groups and categories of people exist.

But if they can be lumped into a category, they probably wouldn't be conversing with you as I've noticed over the last few years, your perceptive ability (even through text) is quite astute, and you're no sucker for people who can't contribute to your mental stimulation. You tend to simply drift, politely from those sources.

Almost a disregard.

I once heard it described as: men must strive to be like a mountain, standing firm and calm amidst the chaotic crashes of the ocean waves.

Wang Mang?

Wow.

Most men I know can't even stand the rain.

Oceans crashing? Few..

Yeah, like a mountain.

Or, no... too passive.

Rather, like a dormant volcano.

Restrained aggression. Emotional and sexual continence. Quiet, contemplative control.

You can always tell, when a situation becomes chaotic and upsetting, and they become _calmer_.

😁FYI, a lot of the time it's just energy deprivation. I know, it's easy to mistake it for calmness.

I blame Vegans too.

😆

I would never have the energy to do anything, let alone raise kids, if I followed a vegan diet. I do know some who are doing that, though🤷.

There's no one size fits all diet plan.

The expressions on people's faces, when a man like that loses it, always crack me up.
