Catholicism does so many things right, it's sad to see them go off the rails in the 60's. (I wasn't alive then, but I read books)
Greek/Russian Orthodox seems based, but it's like a goddamn nightclub where they don't let you in unless an existing member refers you. 😢
Most Orthodox churches are welcoming, the liturgy can be intimidating though.
The liberalism is even worse than Catholicism in a lot of ways though, you just don't hear about it unless you're in the know because it's culturally irrelevant in the Anglo world.
They're also heterodox, despite the name. They burn incense to idols of saints, reject basic doctrines of God like divine simplicity. The "World Orthodox" reject the Biblical model for atonement. It's really not good, it's just exotic. Orthodox converts are like the right wing version of Buddhist converts.
