That is wonderful and rare! Thank you for telling me that. π π»
This is my furry family member (adopted from the street) 100% vegan since she was around 3 month old.
Of course she gets some supplements to make sure she gets everything she needs. There is so much variety in the meanwhile... Dogs are omnivores...so they can be vegan βΊοΈ

She is glowing with health and such a sweetheart! I had one the of worlds most experienced holistic veterinarians come to my house for personal business reasons and my friend was there with her dog. -So I got to overhear a whole impromptu lecture on how to feed your dog holistically and how to prepare their food--homemade. So few people know this.
Thank you ππ½ Yes, she is pure love!
Oh wow, that is so amazing! I actually believe, we should feed dogs uncooked food. But also thunk, they have evolved together with us human beings and adjusted to our nutrition. My dog receives cooked millet and lentils with veggies, little cold pressed oil and her supplement. Sometimes adding shredded coconut. She also loves fruits and cucumber ;)
happy to assist and to inspire ππ½
What types of food does your dog get? This is the first time I have heard of a vegan dog. My initial reaction is this can't be good, but you have done so for years. How do you get enough fat and protein. Thanks.
Thank you for being so open. I know that many people have their own beliefs and understandings. Dogs are so domesticated that they can live on plants.
It's a big lie that we or dogs have to eat tons of proteins...since the body needs amino acids. So if we have all the essential amino acids, we are able to build all the tissues, hormones, enzymes, etc. The same goes for dogs.
My dog gets cooked millet and lentils with vegetables (mostly carrots, beets, celery, in summer also zucchini), some cold pressed oil and her supplement. Sometimes I add grated coconut too. She also loves fruits (orange, papaya, mango, apple...) and cucumbers ;)
Thanks for the detailed response. I imagine as dogs became domesticated they became more used to eating our scraps, changing from mostly carnivore to omnivore. Seems like wild dogs would get all amino acids and other essential stuff from meat, this is why I was initially skeptical
Oh and I almost forgot... She looooves nori π
