If Lightning can deliver on its privacy promise (things are being developed apparently) then it eradicates the need for so-called privacy coins

The shift to privacy in Lighting would be a Holy Grail moment, increasing demand for Bitcoin as well as adaptation while increasing Bitcoin's competitive edge.
