I use GrapheneOS.

Can't be making life too easy now can we.

Need a couple apps to just not quite work right for that extra spice.

Which ones? I still don't know how to make a music library work well on there

have you tried jellyfin+finamp?

Uber can never find location - and tbh using Uber at all feels like a massive self-own anyway.

I haven't called an uber since de-googling

It must be 3 years now. 🤣

How do you get around? Some places literally don't have cabs anymore unless you have Uber. Prague one example...

Everything changed a lot when I stopped working for a corporation.

I drive myself most places now.

I don't really need to be anywhere in a rush, things just seem to work out.

for short distances bike is a good option too when the weather is nice, or even ebike

Have you tried Musicolet?

That's perfect, thank you! Can't zap you btw

You're welcome!

Yes, I'm just getting things set up. Almost there.

I think I've got it working now, if you happen to be willing to try again!

CONVENIENCE CAN COME AT A HEAVY PRICE THESE DAYS

Freedom is often the price of ease.

Up the ante on the desktop and install OpenBSD!

My eNtire Android experience has been defined by GrapheneOS. You merely adopted the dark.

To be fair I have been using it since 2020 or so

I think I'm just not going to find out what I'm missing. The quirkiness and limitations are just part of my experience.

Everything has worked flawlessly for me.

Things that don't for me:

Phone calls when the WiFi is a bit unreliable. Causes the mic to just die why the other person remains clear.

If I just turn off WiFi before making those calls it's fine.

Keyboard stuff: infuriating issue where only in some apps, backspacing causes the beginning of the word to lose the space between itself and the prior word.

GPS location apps. Uber will take forever to figure out where I am. Sometimes it just can't at all. Gmaps generally better but also sometimes just takes ages.
