I don’t want to give anybody ideas, but I’m just thinking about a potential scam that could happen on nostr, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
Scammer ups a server pitches it as a paid relay, pitches spam filtering and whatnot, charges ~4K-5k sats per admission, get’s around 1k users. Making about 500000 sats.
Then closed the server and goes home.
Would getting 1k users per relay be that hard to achieve? Is there a relay listing that rates relays? Like member.cash rates profiles?
Yup that's why some are already calling paid relays the new shit coins. 🤣

Paid relays are providing a function. But rug pulls will happen.
Agreed there is valuable service being created but the rug pull risk is real.
