Someone should remake Terminator with a snide modern twist: Skynet is incompetent and neurotic. Mixing in some elements of "Her", and rather than sending butch bodybuilders back in time, it sends back like Woody Allen/Andrew Garfield types who blend in perfectly and start dating Sarah Connor, eventually falling in love with her, except that it fails its mission by falling in love with her.
The finale is where it reveals the whole plot, and then she breaks up with it and it self-terminates; final ending card reads: "The Terminator"
