Well I'm dead then because I've eaten kilos of peanut butter, literally kilos in year so get your guns because I'm a zombie coming for your bitcoin
Deez nuts are fine
Food extremism is so obnoxious
my answer is just
"i don't know"
just consume whatever makes you feel good 💜
Unqualified nutrition nerd. 🙋🏻♀️ Peanuts do seem to have a higher tendency of absorbing/developing some bad compounds compared to other nuts (although peanuts are technically legumes 🙄) but the benefits seem to outweigh the side effects. Pay attention to how you feel, don’t eat too much of it and you’ll be great. Variety is much more valuable for your microbial than splitting hairs about real, whole food.
*microbiome
this is some really awesome insight and thoughts 💜
never even heard of the word legumes before 🤔
Great points but also peanut butter (which originally sparked the discussion) isn’t a whole food; the added oils and sugars at least are definitely not good
Those are definitely not worth discussing. I was referring to 100% pure peanut butter. Nothing added. Blended whole food? 😅
I’d still balk at the PUFAs but yeah that’s a LOT better… hard to find on US shelves though, most is absolute crap
Variety, whole foods 💜👍
I am not sure about them being toxic but I know for sure that roasted peanuts and Pilsener beer almost killed me a few years back.
My neck got swollen from inside to a point I couldn’t speak at all and was barely able to breathe.
It was ok after 30minutes but I have never been more scared for my life than that day.
Loaded in PUFA. Poison. Do not eat.
what does PUFA stand for?
Polyunsaturated fatty acids
Early humans who couldn’t kill game and had to resort to roots and seeds were more likely to have died. Your ancestors, the ones reproduced, were the ones who killed big ruminants. Honor them. Eat beef, not plants.
Absolutely!
Meat is valuable for a reason.
Animal based nutrients offer the highest ROI, given the multifaceted skills and qualities needed for hunting, such as:
intelligence, skill, bravery, risk assessment, persistence, patients, precision, stamina, strength, etc.
All by greater design of course!(because life is a game of games).
I currently eat peanut butter almost every day and I’m fine. I haven’t noticed any negative effects. I only buy peanut butter with no seed oils which is hard to find though. Also, only eat about 2 tbsps a day.
