While true, on an individual level we can choose clients that aggressively block these bots.

That's an exceptionally hard problem without whitelisting.

indeed, I like that I can apply any filter I want on nostr. for instance I dont see reactions due to #onlyzaps

we are already building whitelists via web of trust, not perfect but we are starting. Just need to consolidate blacklists via mutes.

Whitelisting and other “mechanical” mechanisms is passé.

Think about scoring each message. Based on training or other techniques. AI is better and alway on.

Every post, every comment must cost satoshis. There is no other way. Everything costs something, even freedom of speech. Proof of work is the way!
