A good advert for why Nostr is preferable to X/Twitter.
Many solid replies, though the opinions range they are well articulated. A similar post on Twitter would be met with a MAGA pile on - "Why don't you send your kids to the front lines", "Zelenskyy is the worst, Putin wants peace"...
It is just a puke of bots, AI accounts, trolls and idiots. X/Twitter replies have lost all meaning, it is just 8Chan on crack, weaponised ideological idiots and propaganda.

nostr will be even worse when it gets mainstream adoption, because there is no protection against bots etc., and no; zaps wont help!
Now you might say something like ”you can always point to a relay that filters bot” and to this I will reply: ”Yes, BUT then you get censorship!. You say: ”I can just point to a relay I trust.” Reply: ”Who _can_ you trust?” You: ”My group of selected peers!!!”. Reply: ”OMG! Lets fucking and implement #peercuration” … I mean why not do it NOW?!!!?
Agreed, Nostr will eventually be cluttered with noise as well. BUT, at least no one can ever be censored across the board , unlike X, Favebook, Bluesky, TikTok, etc. Nostr guarantees freedom of speech, for humans, bots, and troglodytes alike.
This. TwitterX has bots and nostr has bots, but TwitterX only shows you the bot content that profits TwitterX; nostr gives you everything (and hopefully, good tools to manage feeds in that environment)

Only because nostr is tiny. If nostr gets bigger it'll be overrun by bots too.
Two main reasons imo:
1. Nostr is new so hasn't been corrupted by idiots yet. A lot more nuanced people
2. No character limit

Nostr is the true signal. You can see both sides of the spectrum from here. I reminds me of early social media in that people are just here as they are, and i find it refreshing.
