I'm trying to get back into it and do around 4 x 18-20 hours fasts per week. That's what works best for me and my schedule, and I'm used to those kinds of fasts.

I think it's more beneficial to do more often and short fasts (i.e. 16, 18 or 20 hours) than to do one long (i.e. 36 or 48 hours) a week.

Just my 2 sats

Yeah I already do 16-18 hours everyday and started doing 40-45 on a quarterly basis.

I try to get to 16 hours semi-regularly, but I couple it with dry fasting. My understanding is that you get into autophagy a lot faster that way.

I don't doubt the benefits of going longer, but as they say "the best diet is the one you can keep."

We just finished fasting the month of Ramadan which consists of 30 days of daily fasting from sunrise to senset (no food, drink, medication or smoking).

That’s legit. Interesting that that can vary for everyone that observes depending on their latitude!

True and although there are many different methods for tackling these situations in order to create a "solution", no one is able to say what method is acceptable and what's not.
