🫡🙌, people have stopped realising how important privacy is, or have become so dull, they have nothing anyone might view as offensive so say “I have nothing to hide”. Does that mean they have nothing of value that they would like to keep for themselves?
It means they have nothing meaningful to say and nothing of import to do. They are happy living life entirely within the lines someone else has given them to draw inside of.
“Freedom only to speak inoffensively is not worth having” 🫡🙌

Unfortunately, not confident that this would actually stand in any uk courts at the moment. https://primal.net/Dug/Nostr-and-Bitcoin-or-the-Gulag-1miukc
“My I present as my first piece of evidence, this note, that was transmitted by relays, written by a nym with a dog as his profile picture”
When the content of your nostr profile, personal notes on your phone or note pads could get you fired, put in jail and/or have some serious relational issues means you want these items to remain private, because you think critically, push boundaries, ask yourself questions and push back on orthodoxy.
You do not share this content widely for this reason, it does not make you a bad person, you don’t say everything you think, but because at times you want to be able to reflect back on passing thoughts they warrant noting, so you note (and other stuff). This process CANNOT be villainised, censored or even frowned upon, this is being human, this is being private, this is being personally sovereign.
What separates us from the monsters is we have these thoughts, and choose not to act on them. You are not a good person if you never have a bad thought, you are maybe just dull. Instead we are able to have these thoughts and appreciate why we may have them.
The ability to transact privately is just as important, if I cannot buy drugs for fear of getting caught, I am not good for not taking drugs, I am scared. Rather, if I can buy drugs but don’t choose not to, or even buy them and not use them, my behaviour reflect my own choices, not by decree.
So stop posting private stuff on internet (a public place)...
This is like running naked in a city plaza and scream out loud that you do not have privacy and people should stop looking at you.
