I open channels to bitrefill, kraken, etc to get free transqctions. They don't need any inbound to accept channels. If my local health food store had a node, I'd open a channel with them too

thats all fine as long as you pay. you run into problems when you try to receive. your local health store knows.

bruh. every time you pay someone else receives.

people are naturally incentivized to open channels when merchant has low inbound liquidity. And if you have other channels you can get some fee revenue too.
