People who label art on Bitcoin as stupid spam are not those who understand art and respect art and the role it plays for humanity.

Art is like a meme you can't kill and it is natural that it chooses the most decentralized and censorship resistant vehicle to shoot into cyber age. It is a natural evolution one could say. When everything can be erased, censored and manipulated the humanity evolves into new ways of making it's mark permanent and the time has come for blockchain permanence. Bitcoin is the king among all blockchains. That's what one needs to know.

Bitcoin is money, and if people try to repurpose the bitcoin blockchain for any other use, it's usability as money suffers.

Fixing money is the most important thing. The blockchain isn't a general purpose database.

How exactly does bitcoin suffer from valid transactions that pay fees and generate economic incentives. That is what ordinals allow.

Labeling everything other than economic exchanges as spam is confusing what spam really is.

If you fix money but truth is dead then you fixed nothing.

I view bitcoin not as money but as future of humanity in cyber age. It will end up as fundamental layer for new world and we don't have other options so art and truth gravitating towards bitcoin is natural.

Imagine if the the sale of a $50 million Rothko magically froze the bank accounts of a million people for a month, unless they pay $1 million to unfreeze it. Wouldn't we want a monetary system that doesn't work that way?

We also don't have a bloody choice, we only have Bitcoin Network...everything else is in the hands of States and banks.

There is Nostr but it is a different beast.

The only reason why you would want to put your art on Bitcoin is because the coin is decentralized and censorship persists.

Money having other use cases like art make it a worse form of money and turn by deprecating Bitcoin by using it for art makes it a worse money thus making it less decentralized and less censorship resistant.

So by enabling more of that art on Bitcoin all you end up doing is destroying the very thing that makes it worth putting your art on it to begin with. Copal you like

In current state all art on bitcoin pays fees and follows consensus, the network is far from congested, blocks are often half empty.

This are valid transactions that actually strengthen bitcoin's security as every fees generating tx does. There is no reason why this should weaken bitcoin. This is simply not true.

Wrong, there is no security budget in bitcoin. Destoying the abilities of others to run nodes by clogging chains with art degrades decentralization. If nodes fall off and are unable to bootstrap back from genesis, due bitcoin being used by " art" instead of being money , then it centralizes and bitcoin dies period. Cope with it all you like, you even tried to justify your use of the chain by saying "you pay fees & blocks are empty anyway" this is admittance that you are aware of your use of the chain in ways it wasnt intended.

I’m not coping — I just see Bitcoin differently. You don’t have to agree, but I believe Bitcoin will eventually dominate cyberspace. And if that’s the case, then everything else online can be erased, censored, or rewritten. Bitcoin could be the only place where history — including art — survives in a permanent, uncensorable form. Money alone doesn’t cover that part of what humans need.

And on the facts: there is a security budget — it’s block rewards plus fees. Full nodes aren’t fragile, pruning solves storage issues, and inscriptions don’t stop bootstrapping. If a transaction pays the fee and follows consensus, it’s valid. That’s how Bitcoin regulates itself. The money layer remains intact, while other uses can exist alongside it.

Data forever and always if it was important individuals kept that data alive, it doesnt need to be embedded on bitcoin

New flash there isnt one. Never has been. Theres 0 guarantee someone who mines gets paid.

I can pay for my ticket to go to the movies, but if i go to the movies and dont adhere to the soft rules (expectations of behavior) i will be removed. Iteration of you pay fees and are consensus valid doesnt validate your behavior. Cope harder.
