I keep getting notifications of people interacting with old posts, something that NEVER happens with regular kind=1 notes. That means people are actively finding and browsing communities.

This is an undeniably superior solution to the proposed alternatives:

* topical private relays (lol)

* hashtags (uncurated unmoderated spammable mess)
