I really enjoyed BTC Prague. Great venue, very open, and a really nice vibe. Prague is an amazing city. I do think the organizers missed an opportunity with the kids, though. I managed to get a ticket for my 8-year-old through someone, but on the website, she would have paid adult price, which is crazy.

My kids and their friends were really welcomed everywhere there, and the Honey Badger guy was amazing (looking to send him some sats). However, it would be nice to add a small kids' corner or something, as they are literally the future of Bitcoin. They learn by being around adults (this is unschooling). Separating them from the conference is such a fiat schooling system approach... It takes a community to raise kids, and I'm hoping next time kids will be encouraged to attend.

There is a big wave of unschoolers coming over the next few years as Bitcoiners start to realize the current system is deeply flawed and destructive to kids' learning and overall mental acuity and health.

Let's treat kids seriously, and this energy will be returned in leaps and bounds.

nostr:npub1p0s2hqy2eew49zye7jw79374u0jj4t7erthx4mcsy3r0ddkzkkxqxaa7gv are definitely heeding this call seriously to nurture the next generation of Bitcoiners, you should check them out and they should have been present in Prague as well.

In fact, I was expecting this scenario, so I brought two folders filled with printables, two packs of crayons, plenty of stickers, removable tattoos, and a few small souvenirs. Actually, three amazing girls you sure knowโ€”my little friends nowโ€”one still to move to Madeira, two sisters already from A Place To Be, got some of these too ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Of course it's not too much/not enough, but still made many kiddos happy ๐Ÿ˜Š By the way, look what we've done at Adopting Bitcoin last November. I really really hope more event organisers take kids and families more serious.

Thank YOU โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ pass a HUuuuuUGE hug from us please.

Will do

my girls loved them ๐Ÿ˜‡

I did not attend even though my 5yo wanted to go. I'd have had to babysit all the time and paid for 2 adults.

She joined me last year and hadn't somebody lent her his wrist band I wouldn't have been able to even show her the main stage. She then fell asleep and I could watch the keynote with her in my arms.

She loved the badger a bit too much for my taste ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yes ๐Ÿ™Œ the poor honey badger was stalked by the kids for. 2 days ๐Ÿ˜†

I told my daughter to not trust strangers even or especially when they dress like cute animals or clowns but there was no stopping her.

๐Ÿ˜‚

I kept my eye on him but he was totally cool and just looked a little beaten down ๐Ÿฅต

nostr:npub167n5w6cj2wseqtmk26zllc7n28uv9c4vw28k2kht206vnghe5a7stgzu3r take notes. We came as a family of 4 and I visited Madeira conference last year. That was kids friendly! Even btc Vegas had a dedicated corner for kids.

You need to have a corner for kids minimum the size of the stage near the booths.

Basketball, Painting, a wall for coloring, quizzes, big Lego bricks made out of foam, kids mini stage interviewing adults and so on. I am sure AI can come up with good ideas.

That helps the parents to listen to talks and working at their booth.

I know you guys can make it happen and focus on it like because as already mentioned: that is our future

I attended last year and had hoped for my wife and 2 young children would come along on the sunday. I scoped out the "kids area" on the Saturday and it was very poor so they stayed away

Agree it needs to be a priority.

Apart from that, it was a top conference.

Agreed

I will bring my kid next year so I hope there will be more kid oriented things.

I'll put in a thought for us from #jednadvacet for next year, will spread the word towards Satoshi labs and brothers Kuchaล™ too. nostr:nprofile1qqsg6kaf9jxv502uwwf0qwf6k9daplr0vdpjtdz32s0q7ly6cmp7e4gpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshsz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxuet59ut09fhw was saying same thing, there was nothing for families.

Absolutely agree. Kids belong in the room, not outside it. Mine already points at a yacht for sale and says, โ€œfuture home!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ https://www.yachttrading.com/

๐Ÿ˜‚ awesome

Nice feedback !

During Nostrasia, we have tried to provide some level of entertainment for kids and I completely agree with you, if one is to make a conference, it should definitely be as family-friendly as possible.

should be baked into the protocol. โค๏ธ
