Junior set his mind to chopping down this old dead tree and I'll be damned if he didn't get it done. It wasn't quite as rotten as it seemed. The next couple of days will bring some new lessons about hard work.

It's sad that there was nobody there to educate him about the value dead trees provide to the ecosystem.
Always a shame to see a tree cut down for no reason.

Sweet, I had my daughter chop down a considerably larger maple several years ago. Then I told her that every tree before 1900 was chopped with an axe. She couldn't believe it. (she was 28 at the time)
