Typically takes _years_ to get formal diagnosis.
There are a few uncommon but far from rare diseases out there that aren’t well known amongst physicians. I’ve seen people put on psychiatric meds for esophageal disorders that take 2 seconds to diagnose on fluoroscopic esophagram.
Yup. In that regard, I’m lucky. I had a family history of a lot of endo so I was pretty sure that’s what it was. My doctor disagreed because most of my pain is in my back, but then my OBGYN said it made sense given my uterus is flipped backwards 😂🤷♀️
