That might be an effective way to weed out (cheap) scammers and spam messages 🤔
Discussion
I agree, it’s pretty much a personal energy shield and a way to say I am willing to entertain what others have to say directly to me at this price.
It will block cheap forms of bullying, harassment, spam, etc. but also limit unwanted soliciting, and turn advertising around, etc. Instead of paying Twitter or Facebook to show you an ad, advertisers will pay the users directly, completely disintermediation of centralized social media.
You still get to decide whether you read the notes or not.
Eloquently put, I love that! What if we take it a step further and set up a tiered pricing for advertisers? In other words, they would pay a basic fee to deliver a message, a standard fee to get the message read, and a premium fee to receive a reply from the customer. This way, there would be an incentive for the customer to respond and drive the economy 😆
