Hey nostr people! If I search for my interests, I mostly find Mastodon/Fediverse accounts and posts. Is there a way to filter this out?

It’s probably one or two of your relays that are showing you fediverse results. You might have to try turning some of them off to see if that helps. I think the nostr.band relay shows a lot of content from there. I also set up mostly paid relays that I read from so I can curate my feed better.

Perhaps there is a way to block these domains (if that is the correct lingo)?
Removing these from your relay list should do the trick assuming they are in your relay list. I will say I do converse with people from activity pub and they do converse back so I’m not sure what the cause is of what gets blocked and what does not get blocked.
What are you using to search?
#asknostr is a good hashtag but as others have said, it's your relays finding these people. Relay management is key.
