You can send onchain to Zeus and swap to LN
From LN you can pay any mint
Cashu mints live on lightning nodes and mints spend to eachother over lightning

It's basically ready to go, just in dependency hell because the tor library we use links to a different version of sqlite than the cashu library.
However, it doesn't support onchain for cashu, the protocol doesn't have it
That is a pretty good feature.
Once you have an onchain address, you can send as much as you want unlike with LN.
The mints would have no control over how much money they are comfortable with handling. Since still a lot of things are experimental in this space and mints have non-negligible risks, this would possibly create an unwanted situation for them.
Refunding is an option but in practice it might be complicated.
