Default to paid relay feed such as nostr.wine feed. I browse that feed all the time on nostr:npub17n4cuc4d6y6qh89dekvxrenfkt5s0n49xns00uavjaxpr36c55dq87fyh9.

It’s better than what primal is doing. I hated the default follows onboarding so much that I forked the web app and removed that feature 😂.

Another option is default to a curated feed which includes notes of all the people on their default follow list. That’s a million times better than forcing you to follow all those people.
Also, the nostr.wine feed is not shit. If it was, I wouldn’t browse it all the time.

It wasn’t optional before. Not sure if they’ve changed that.
Just checked on the web app. Still not optional.

My fork still exists, but i haven’t updated it in a long time so it doesn’t include all the new features like live streaming

There are lots of good curated relays to choose from now too, not just nostr.wine. jumble starts with a good selection of them.
