☕️ Coffee time ☕️

Habbit Journal:

* Drinking only decaf in the afternoon since a week.

* I only drink normal coffee in the morning

* I have a sleep routine (8 hours, from 10pm)

* No-phone zone between 9-10pm

Seems so far so good!

I could even keep the sleep routine in the weekends. Usually we watched a movie on the weekends, and somehow they ended after 11 or 12pm or later.

Now we just watched a movie in the morning. Why would we have to watch it in the evening? As we went to bed earlier, we could watch a movie, and we finished still earlier than before, when we went to bed around 12pm-1am.

So far the benefits:

* Less tiredness in the second part of the week

* More time during the weekend

* Feeling more productive on the weekend

* Overall less tired feeling

* Maybe even easier to fall asleep?

Still I don't get up in the mornings, as yay I slept enough, but somehow I feel more rested. So maybe this will come with time.

What is the story of a habbit of yours?

Good work! Try to get 10-30 minutes of sunlight in your eyes to set your circadian rhythm every morning (not through a window)

Thanks! 🤜🤛

How does it set my circadian rhythm?

Our brains are supposedly all on a 23.9-hour clock or something, but viewing sunlight in the AM (and at dusk) helps reset it so we sleep better… something to that effect.

Check out Andrew Huberman’s podcast to learn more! I think there’s a specific episode on methods to improve sleep - a lot of it you are already doing 👍

I just try to keep a posture of gratefulness no matter the circumstances because I have so much to be thankful for. Have you tried habit stacking?

That is cool! Greatfulness is awesome! It can really set your day up for a happy and productive day. You can always see the bad in things, but at the end, you will attract bad then. I rather attract good things and people into my life.

Habit stacking? Is it the one, when you do multiple habbits in a row, so you anchor multiple habbits onto one-another? So basically you only have to trigger the first habbit, because then the others come. So easier to learn new habbits? Or is it something else?

Yeah that’s it. Really useful. Especially when its attached to something you always do, like when waiting for coffee to brew do 20 pushups.
