I'm having some issues with nostr.

I can't unfollow some people from Mastodon/Fedi bridges. After a while they're back again in my timeline.

I keep on unfollowing people I never unfollowed. Just checking their profile reveals that I'm no longer following them.

Maybe I'll have to check my relay configs.

which client? multiple clients?

Mastodon slowly corrupting nostr lol

I jump between Prima, Amethyst and Yakihonne on Android. Mostly using Nostur on macOS.

I kinda feel sorry for the dude on Mastodon I keep on muting. πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ

if you unfollow on any One of those and wait a while before trying the same on another, this keeps happening? like no matter which client you initiate it from?

Have you tried coracle?

Vitor had mentioned to me before that it can be a relay issue. I have no clue how that works, but was mentioned to me because when I would update amethyst I would loose follows and #s I was following. Way outside of my wheelhouse though. Maybe nostr:nprofile1qqsyfhqu9kuu877hhm5j2lkwk5478nuvgza00d3lgmjkkk9px8r57zcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgmwaehxw309a6xsetxdaex2um59ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hszxnhwden5te0veex2etvv9ujuum0we3xjapwdphhxap04vlpvm would know

Funny you're the one replying. Noticed I was no longer following you just a few minutes ago. No idea why.

Would the old Twitter thingy work, where blocking someone has them unfollow you?

I don't think that can happen here.

did I block you sometime?!

You tell me. 🌚

lol I don't think so. I follow you and I can see these notes

Something is definitely broken.

or you have different relays configured between the two, and you follow me on amethyst relays that aren't present in primal

Agreed, it’s definitely Primal. But my relays are the same in each client.

one of the many reasons I stopped using Primal was that I often noticed follows and other losta doing weird stuff.

I don't know a ton about their architecture but I hear they do a lot of caching in various layers and I would suspect that could cause problems.

That's probably it. I always assumed you could disable caching if you unselected "Enhanced Privacy" in the settings so that you connect to relays individually but I think that was wrong. The caching service seems to always stay connected. I'll just stop using it for the time being.

I believe they also do very aggressive caching on THEIR servers. as in, a layer between you and the relays. perhaps a *way too thick* layer

Happens to me as well. No idea why and I'm not in the mood to investigate. But would be great to know and fix πŸ€™
