This is the biggest and fastest position-reversal from a journalist on Bitcoin I’ve ever seen

One week after writing this flawed piece in bitcoin

https://www.makeuseof.com/sustainable-cryptocurrencies-greener-bitcoin/

He wrote this informed and knowledgeable piece

https://www.makeuseof.com/surprising-ways-bitcoin-mining-benefits-environment/

What happened in between?

I critiqued his article; he was open to learning and reversed his position in the light of new information.

We don’t deserve you bro

Yeah man, I still need to lock in a time with nostr:npub13lkyycj8s3da6fhndtj0wd6s3s2ahmq86s7wrruvzd4tnc66cgfqn4lpsy but we’ve connected and it’s in the works!

One of my favorite environmentalists in the space and his impact cannot emphasized more!

Really good job! This may be the first positive bitcoin article written by a climate cultist that I've ever seen, and it's actually accurate. However you approached your critique, keep doing that 👏

I’m sure your respectful approach had something to do with his reversal.

Thank you Daniel!

> For instance, Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance claimed coal to be the leading energy source for Bitcoin mining but also admitted their research had not included off-grid mining.

That's hilarious. The study reported that we use mostly coal to produce energy worldwide but first replaced "worldwide" with "for bitcoin" and published that as if it were Bitcoin's fault.

Funnily enough, that means Amazon, Ethereum, all the things including our internet router also is powered mostly by coal 😂.

What a shit show.

Correct. Bitcoin is it turns out the only global industry not powered mostly by coal

Wow. This hardly ever happens.
