There are too many people with false confidence thinking they can handle their own in a physical altercation.

Go to your local gym and stress test yourself in live sparring. None of that cardio boxing, or technical sparring, legitimate striking and grappling.

Many should feel the weight of combat in a controlled environment so they know their bodies capabilities.

A lot of delusional people don't know the cardio and technical skills required to hold your own.

911 won't always be there on time, some agencies take hours to respond and that's if they show up..

Stay paranoid.

My approach is to manifest a reality with no need for hand to hand altercations. It has worked so far. My whole lifestyle keeps me safe. 4 big dogs helps also.

I think training in anything is a great idea. I would train for myself. It just feels good to be strong. I am a builder and a lover though. I think my mind is strong enough to avoid the need to get physical.

it's a really fun hobby that gets you very in-tune with your own body. but i guess any kind of sport does that. lol

Agreed. I have rarely gotten into physical altercations, but when I had to it's been absolutely necessary for my safety and my family.

Until you’ve been pack peddling while out of breath because someone is punching you in the face easily and consistently you have not explored your limits.
