My very first weld.

Today I learned that I cannot weld very good (yet) but I can weld good enough for a homemade trommel.

Also welding when it's 80 degrees out isn't very comfortable.

What kind of welder? Looks like you need to increase the heat and the flow rate of your filler metal.

Not that I’m a pro, I did a TIG class about a decade ago now and that was the last time I made a pretty weld lol

I think you're right. It's a harbor freight titanium 170.

I should've watched more videos but sometimes running with scissors is more fun.

I first thought that maybe I was going to fast and all I needed was to have a couple of beers to slow things down a bit 😁 🍺

Running with scissors IS more fun

I learned it from #[6] and Dave from podcastindex.org 🏃✂️ 🙂

Looks better than my first welds, trust me lol. It’s all about practice, just gotta keep at it. That’s why I can’t make pretty welds anymore is because I don’t do it enough…but that’s also why they invented grinders lol

You're on the right track. And like #[2] said. These guys have some fantastic content on welding if you have time to watch...

Yo if want some pointers or help setting up the machine feel free to reach out been a welder for a long time

Thank you. I may just reach out to you when I start to build the frame.

This is what I'm trying to build. I just slapped the 3d model together, it's not really to scale just more of a guideline for me
