Germany has a bunch of villages that have totally removed them. This made drivers more responsable, resulting in less accidents.
I’m moving somewhere with no lights and no traffic. That’s my main criteria.

There is a traffic light 9km away from my house. That's far enough. I don't want to spend an hour every day on a long pot-holed dirt/gravel road.
