do you guys think trump will actually free ross?
Discussion
No
whoever thinks that is a delusional statist simp
exactly, you gotta be very dumb to believe that
can't understand why people believe or simp for politicians, specially in our circle. politics is so irrational..
"Government is actually the worst failure of civilized man. There has never been a really good one, and even those that are most tolerable are arbitrary, cruel, grasping and unintelligent."
H.L. Mencken
I’m pretty skeptical. Going to enjoy Bitcoiners turning on him so we can go back to the punk rock vibes
No. It blew my mind how so many bitcoiners blindly trusted this guy jmmediately.
RIP “dont trust, verify”

It is one of the easier promises to keep. Why piss off the base when it's just a signing of the pen?
That being said statism is still awful so I wouldn't be surprised no matter what happens. The rational choice is to just free him though. There's a few congressmen who supported him over this very declaration.
On the fence about it
for as much as I would like it, I like to practice healthy skepticism.
the point is that this is a huge litmus test for his administration.
what makes people think he wouldnt?
lack of incentive
the goodwill of a few thousand libertarians isnt enough.
yeah I definitely agree with that point, it's fair.
I just feel like it's a simple swish of the pen and an extremely EASY promise to keep. easier than ending XYZ war, or whatever other promises he made. time will tell 🤙🏼
No
Yes. There is literally nothing but upside for him and the Republican party not to do it AND potential significant downside not to.
First, look at all of the pardons Biden has done for people that actually did heinous shit to others. To commute someone that didn't do anything but put up a website is an easy stroke of the pen.
Second, the digital asset voting bloc is 50M+ strong by both R and D analyst findings. To reneg on such an innocuous campaign promise potentially alienates this new base you just unlocked and that has given the party momentum. With a lot of key R races that could shift Congress at the next primary, it would be a strategical blunder.
Now Trump is going to do what is best for Trump, but he'd be fucking over the Republicans moving forward by not doing it.
"Trump freed the largest drug kingpin of the last 10 years. Hes soft on crime"
the man is a flaming narcissist and will not do anything that makes him look weak.
I think yes, and Polymarket is giving it 77% 🤷♂️
bigger Q who will pardoned FIRST ? after Hunter
SBF or ROSS
I can only pray Ross is freed at some point. Do I trust politicians? Eff no.
Zero of them.
nostr:npub1cwhy4k8qd2guyqz8t45u4yzyp4k4fhnjn573ukh6e77mde2dgm9s2lujc5 Agreed 100%. I only trust the people (like us) to continuously put pressure on the politicians for the results we demand.
Soon, we’ll be too big for the politicians & institutions to ignore.
Hope and trust are two different things.
Right when Canada and Greenland are both annexed to the US it will happen
I wonder this often (and every time I hear someone saying it as if it's a done deal).
I hope so.
yes 90% confident
What is in it for him? Does he actually need "the crypto people" any longer?
And give him his Bitcoin back? 😆😆😆
Sure he will! Politicians never lie...
nope. Have fun with your bitcoins.
Don’t know it’s questionable. His attention is being diverted right now because of the fires in California. I think a lot of people are waiting to see if he’s going to have a strategic BTC reserve.
