I have no less than three backups of any key but this is about the people you're following and your nostr events like notes etc. make sure to backup those regularly as well. I store those backups on my cloud. they keys are not part of the backups.

Smart way would also be to run your own node, right? Umbrel can make it happen I think.

Yes you could run your own relay on Umbrel, I’m not sure how you push old events and things like contacts to that relay though, once it’s setup 🤔

You can use https://nostr-broadcast.pages.dev/

It has instructions on how to save or clone the site to use locally to push to a particular relay.
