Is Phoenix wallet a good place to store large amount of bitcoin? If I just want one wallet with both lightening and on chain and In don't care about fees.

But thats not a local node. Id need to run a node then connect to it.

No. The node is in your phone. They rolled out a rwally really self custody lightning wallet and on-chain in the same interface..

Without getting too much info, do you have another option like a Coldcard that you are using for secure long term cold storage?

Phoenix is an online, hot wallet.

You said large amount.

For large amount, please consider using cold wallet, offline.

It can be done by using a hardware wallet such as cold card, bit box, jade, etc.

I understand but if you were to hold it on a wallet with lightning which one would you choose. IsPhoenix the 'best' or are there others. Looks like Zeus beta wallet is pretty great.

Yes, among lightning wallets, I think it is a good choice. Check out mutiny wallet as well.
