Maybe try using the web-only version and turn off all notifications.
I made a new FB account seven years after deleting my original because some of the local charities only post there. What a s***show. Instead of showing me the accounts I follow, it's nothing but ads and bs.
This is great advice.
I think deleting the phone app will add enough friction to improve the overall experience.
Still though, opening Twitter to see people burning alive and shooting themselves in the head is all too much. There seems to be a regular push to heap as much violence and absolute trash onto users and frankly I’ve had enough.
