Don’t want to see buzzbot-promoted notes in your Primal trending feeds? Simply mute the nostr:nprofile1qyjhwumn8ghj7cn40faxymm594ex2mrp0yhxyatvd35hx6rzda6kuare9e3k7mgprfmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuum4v3hkxctjd3hhxtnrdaksqgxfax7upvpuyx7nx7sjmn6mgc75nld0azz25y4mj5xpst57fklfhqy6fmt5 account. You will still see notes that mention buzzbot in your regular feeds, but they will be removed from the trending feeds.

Interesting to see the feedback to my note below. It's about evenly distributed between hating and loving buzzbot, as well as being indifferent. Therefore, we decided to offer our users a choice.

I’ve muted many, many accounts on Primal and they still show up in trending feeds. Soooo, this ain’t gonna work

Did you know that the entire primal stack is open source? You can check for yourself if primal investors get any preferential treatment, there is no need to spread misinformation.

And what does that prove? Yes our app has bugs but we are massively improving muting in the next release and those bugs will be fixed if they are not already fixed…

Trending is a statistical feed. It actually wouldn't make sense to implement your mutes on that one, as the whole idea is that everyone can see what everyone else is looking at.

You can remove that feed, if it bothers you, in the settings.

I disagree. I’d like to be able to see what’s trending sans accounts I’ve muted. What’s the point of mute if it’s not universal?

"What's the point of a universal trending feed?", is the better question.

Also, is a universal trending even possible on Nostr? Nope. Trending is always personalized because each npub has access to different relays.

So, this is someone else's personal trending list, that you are looking at, and their mutes are not your mutes. Something more personalized would be more relevant, for most users.

At any rate, I was just explaining the concept, as I find it coherent. I am not defending the use of the concept.
